Indra Group is a global leader in technology and consulting, driving innovation across defense, aerospace, air traffic, and digital transformation. We are strengthening our Space Engineering team by hiring Software Engineer for E2E systems.

Responsibilities:

    • Software engineer interested in a professional career at the aerospace sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a growing innovative market of the space industry, working in projects with the following main duties:
      • Design and implement of Software modules using continuous integration and deployment (CICD).
      • Agile Development in Python and/or other programming languages.
      • Analysis of remote sensing datasets.
      • Participate in validation campaigns, test plan definition, and performance assessment.
      • Support documentation, reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), and customer interactions.
      • Report to the supervisor, using management tools (i.e. JIRA).
    • Specific:
      • The candidate will be part of a team and will have as main objectives the learning of key technology concepts on remote sensing, in particular Quality control, Calibration and Data Harmonisation/fusion
      • Initially, the evolution of Data processing algorithms, Calibration and Quality Control Tools within the FLEX mission Data Innovation Science Cluster (DISC).
 
 
What are we looking for?
  • A recognized engineering or master’s degree (Aerospace, Telecommunications) or a related degree (e.g., Physics, Maths)
  • The candidate shall have a background and experience covering the following areas: 
  • Python /Java/C++ programming languages
  • Knowledge in Machine Learning
  • Understanding of software development practices and coding standards
  • Experience using versioning control tools such as GIT.
  • Good level of English (spoken and written)
  • The following requirements are highly appreciated:
      • Experience with Jupyter notebooks and/or unit testing.
      • Knowledge of deployment techniques using containers (Docker, kubernetes, ..)
      • Understanding of Distributed System architectures and Virtualization.
      • Work done with satellite data or Remote Sensing datasets.
