Indra Group is a global leader in technology and consulting, driving innovation across defense, aerospace, air traffic, and digital transformation. We are strengthening our Space Engineering team by hiring Junior Flight Software Engineer for Automatic Code Gen.

Responsibilities:

Introduce the SW architecture in GNC Algorithms implemented in Matlab Simulink.

Spread and maintain modelling guidelines for GNC AlgorithmsParticipate in the Unit Testing of the GNC Algorithm components (at model and software levels)

Maintain and develop in house tools that rely in MathWorks environment for: generating code from the GNC Algorithms, testing in Model-in-the-loop, SW-in-the-loop and Processor-in-the-loop and obtain other artifacts from the GNC Algorithms

Implement SW components for low level communications with sensors and actuators

Support the SW integration for creating the OBSW

Support validation in different testing facilities

Generate the documentation associated to the GNC Software (from requirements, development and validations plans, to ICDs and validation reports).

Interaction with technicians from other Competence Centres inside the Company or customers. 

 
What are we looking for?
  • Education: a recognized engineering degree (Computer Sciences, Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications) or a related degree (e.g. Aerospace) with demonstrable experience in computer systems and software engineering /Appreciated: Postgraduate studies (M.Sc or Ph.D) with a focus on software engineering, real-time software or embedded systems design.
  • Engineer with minimum experience of 1 to 2 years in the practical application of the domains relevant to the post.
  • The following capabilities are required for the position: 
  • Knowledge of Model based design and implementation: Matlab or Simulink design and automatic code generation with Embedded Coder.
  • Solid theoretical background in Software Engineering, including testing and verification approaches along the Software lifecycle: SW verification and validation, Unit and integration testing.
  • Good programming skills C, Python and knowledge of software configuration control e.g. GIT, SVN.
  • Willingness to participate in the generation of project documentation, including requirements specifications, SW design, and other engineering documentation
  • Desired: Experience in some of the following fields is desired but not indispensable:
    Knowledge in the development of PIL HIL test benches: RTTB, FVB, SCOE, EGSE, Unit testers for the validation and qualification of software systems
    DevOps infrastructure: Continuous integration strategies and tools: Jenkins, Bamboo, SonarQube.
    Practical experience in communication buses, drivers and associated communication protocols: e.g. Bus CAN, 1553, SpaceWire, Serial line, etc.
