Flight SW Architect | Space

Indra Group is a global leader in technology and consulting, driving innovation across defense, aerospace, air traffic, mobility and digital transformation. We are strengthening our Space Engineering team by hiring Flight SW Architect.

• A recognized engineering degree (Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications) with demonstrable experience in computer systems and software engineering / Appreciated: Postgraduate studies with a focus on software engineering, real-time software or embedded systems design.
• Engineer with minimum experience of 10 years in the practical application of the domains relevant to the post, experience obtained while obtaining relevant M.Sc. and PhD studies could also be considered as applicable for the position.

The following capabilities are required for the position: 

• Experience in design and development of real time and safety critical Software systems for the space or aeronautics industry, following applicable software development standards as ECSS, DO178
• Excellent programming skills C, plus potentially others as Python or Ada
• Knowledge of software configuration control GIT or SVN.
• Solid theoretical knowledge of real-time multithreaded systems, real-time operating system RTEMS, VxWorks or FreeRTOS and embedded computer architectures RISC-V, ARM or PowerPC.
  Software team leadership along the project phases, and generation of project documentation associated to applicable development standard

• Desired: Experience in some of the following fields is desired but not indispensable:
  Knowledge of Packet Utilization Standard
  Experience with Software systems for embedded Hardware control, communication interfaces, Boot Software, etc.
  Experience on Software verification and validation, use of system test benches EGSE SCOE, test specification and test definition
  SW and Systems design documentation methodologies and tools: UML, SysML.
  Knowledge of SW Coding Standards MISRA-C.
  Experience with containers Docker and or Podman.
