SAP ABAP Lead (S/4HANA RISE)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Define ABAP development approach, standards, and technical guidelines
• Lead technical design discussions and review solution approaches
• Assess custom code impact and remediation requirements during S/4HANA conversion activities
• Review technical designs and ensure alignment with SAP development standards and clean core principles
• Govern development quality, code review practices, and technical documentation
• Lead complex ABAP development activities and technical issue resolution
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to ABAP developers
• Coordinate with functional, BASIS, BTP, Fiori, and integration teams to deliver technical solutions

Delivery & Quality Expectations

• Complete assigned activities according to project timelines and agreed quality standards
• Ensure deliverables are accurate, complete, and aligned with project requirements
• Follow SAP implementation methodology, project governance, and delivery standards
• Apply SAP best practices and industry standards in solution delivery
• Maintain proper documentation for configuration, development, testing, decisions, and project activities

Qualifications

• 8+ years SAP ABAP development experience
• Strong experience with S/4HANA ABAP development
• Strong understanding of S/4HANA extensibility concepts, custom code remediation, and clean core principles
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition latest release or at least two major releases back preferred
• Experience participating in SAP ECC to S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition conversion projects is a strong advantage
• SAP ABAP certification is a plus
