🔍 What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Space Bid Manager to lead complex space-related bids and opportunities, combining commercial insight, bid strategy, and strong internal coordination. The ideal candidate will act as the owner of the offer from opportunity maturation through contract award, ensuring competitive, profitable, and strategically aligned proposals in accordance with Indra’s corporate processes.
 
📌 Key Responsibilities
• Actively participate in the identification and qualification of space opportunities.
• Maintain direct relationships with institutional and commercial customers such as ESA, EUSPA, the European Commission, national agencies, and operators.
• Contribute to account commercial strategy in coordination with Sales Management and Key Account Managers.
• Analyse customer needs and translate them into competitive BID approaches.
• Support pre-bid activities, including market consultations, clarification meetings, and early positioning.
• Lead the formal bid launch in accordance with the O2O process, including opportunity setup, internal communications, and coordination of the bid team.
• Plan and coordinate all bid activities across technical, commercial, financial, and contractual domains.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal milestones, and submission deadlines.
• Analyse RFPs/ITTs and define the bid strategy, including value proposition, differentiators, commercial positioning, and consortium strategy.
• Prepare inputs for Bid / No Bid decisions and assess competitive landscape, risks, and opportunities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineering, programs, finance, procurement, legal, quality).
• Manage relationships with partners and subcontractors, including teaming agreements and ESA/EC geo-return rules.
• Consolidate cost budgets, pricing, margin targets, and commercial scenarios.
• Identify and manage technical, commercial, and contractual risks, including mitigation plans and risk reserves.
• Prepare and present bids in internal committees (PRECOCOM, COCOM, or others).
• Support clarification and negotiation phases after submission and ensure proper handover to Programs after contract award.
 
🎯 Requirements
• Demonstrated experience managing complex bids in an industrial environment, preferably in Space and/or Defence.
• Proven participation in European and/or national institutional tenders.
• Experience working transversally with multiple internal stakeholders.
• Knowledge of the space market and space programs.
• Understanding of European public procurement processes.
• Solid fundamentals in systems engineering at bid level.
• Experience with cost models, pricing, and risk management.
• High professional proficiency in English.
 
Optional / Nice-to-Have• Knowledge of SATCOM architectures (GEO, MEO, LEO) and satellite links (link budgets, spectrum, modulation, coding, QoS).
• Experience with secure and resilient satcom, governmental connectivity, or hybrid satellite–terrestrial networks.
• Familiarity with integration of space systems with GNSS/PNT, IP networks, SDN/NFV, or critical infrastructures.
• Additional European languages.
