We are looking for an experienced Systems Architect with a strong background in complex system engineering and architecture, ideally within space or mission-critical environments. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in end-to-end system design, integration, and multi-domain architectures, ensuring alignment across all subsystems and stakeholders.
- Define and maintain the end-to-end system architecture for Galileo-related solutions (space, ground, and user segments).
- Ensure consistency between system requirements, architecture, and implementation across all subsystems.
- Lead architectural design and support system engineering lifecycle activities (requirements, design, validation, verification).
- Coordinate with engineering teams, system integrators, and external stakeholders (e.g., ESA, contractors, partners).
- Support integration, validation, and test strategies at system level.
- Ensure compliance with space industry standards, security requirements, and mission-critical constraints.
- Identify architectural risks, propose mitigation strategies, and drive decision making.
- Contribute to technical governance boards and design reviews.
- Support alignment with SAFe or large-scale program delivery frameworks when applicable.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.
🎯 Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in systems engineering and architecture.
- Proven experience in space, GNSS, or highly critical infrastructures such as Galileo, GPS, EGNOS, or similar.
- Strong background in complex system design and integration.
- Experience working with system engineering standards such as ECSS, ISO, and INCOSE.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end architecture definition across multiple domains.
- Strong understanding of interfaces, data flows, and system dependencies.
- Experience in multi-stakeholder and international environments.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Galileo program or ESA-related projects.
- Knowledge of ground segment systems, satellite operations, or navigation services.
- Familiarity with secure and resilient system architectures.
- Experience working in Agile SAFe environments applied to large programs.
- Certifications in Systems Engineering (INCOSE) or Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools.
