IT Asset and Configuration Management Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Configuration and Transition Management Analyst to join our at Indra Philippines, Inc. in Pasig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring smooth transitions of IT infrastructure and maintaining accurate configuration management throughout the organization. As a Configuration and Transition Management Analyst, you will be responsible for coordinating system changes, managing configuration data, and facilitating seamless transitions between IT environments. This role is essential to maintaining system stability, reducing deployment risks, and ensuring minimal downtime during critical infrastructure changes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in change management and configuration control.

Key responsibilities

1. Manage and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all IT assets, systems, and their relationships

2. Coordinate transition activities for system implementations, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations

3. Develop and document transition plans, including rollback procedures, communication strategies, and risk mitigation approaches

4. Collaborate with technical teams to verify configuration accuracy and resolve discrepancies in system documentation

5. Support change management processes by providing detailed configuration impact analysis and change tracking

6. Monitor system transitions and provide real-time support to resolve issues and ensure successful cutover activities

7. Ensure compliance with IT governance policies and standards throughout configuration and transition activities

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience in configuration management, IT transitions, or systems administration within a complex IT environment

2. Strong knowledge of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) tools and practices, such as ServiceNow, BMC Atrium, or similar platforms

3. Solid understanding of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles, particularly change management and configuration management disciplines

4. Experience with system transition planning, including migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure changes

5. Excellent documentation skills with the ability to create clear, detailed technical and procedural documentation

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies

7. Proficiency in working with IT assets inventory management and baseline configuration tracking

8. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage stakeholder communications during complex transitions

9. Knowledge of IT governance frameworks and compliance requirements is advantageous

10. Certification in ITIL Foundation or equivalent configuration management qualification is preferred

11. Experience with tools such as, project management software, or process mapping tools is desirable
