GitLab Platform Expert (DevOps & CI/CD)

We are seeking an experienced GitLab Platform Expert to support the adoption and operational enablement of GitLab within an enterprise software delivery environment.

The role focuses on ensuring that GitLab is implemented and operated according to best practices for DevOps, CI/CD, repository management, and platform governance. You will work closely with delivery teams and internal engineering organizations to establish sustainable platform practices, guide technical decisions, and ensure that internal teams build the knowledge required to operate and evolve the GitLab platform independently.
The engagement is part of a broader DevOps toolchain transformation programme. You will act as a GitLab subject matter expert, providing advisory support, validating implementation approaches, and enabling internal teams through hands-on guidance and knowledge transfer, requires deep practical experience with GitLab platforms in enterprise environments.

Key-responsibilities:

 Act as the GitLab platform subject matter expert within the DevOps transformation programme
- Provide expert guidance on GitLab architecture, configuration, and operational best practices
- Design and review CI/CD pipelines, automation strategies, and development workflows
- Define and support GitLab governance models, repository structures, and branching strategies
- Guide the setup and operation of GitLab runners, integrations, and automation frameworks
- Support the integration of GitLab with build systems, testing frameworks, artifact repositories, and deployment platforms
- Advise on DevSecOps practices leveraging GitLab security and compliance features
- Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to internal DevOps and engineering teams
- Contribute to documentation, platform standards, and operational playbooks
- Support platform adoption and help internal teams

Skills:

• At least 4 years’ experience in similar roles.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Java and the GitLab Platform.
• Expertise in GitLab architecture, configuration and operational best practices.
• Experience in designing and reviewing CI/CD pipelines, automation strategies and development workflows.
