🔍 What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a skilled engineer with solid experience in software COTS‑based systems, ideally within the space domain. The ideal candidate can design modern software architectures using COTS and open‑source components while ensuring compliance with functional and cyber‑security requirements.

📌 Key Responsibilities

  • Design state‑of‑the‑art software architectures using COTS and Open Source components, balancing performance, security, and licensing costs.
  • Analyse cyber‑security requirements, assess compliance, and raise deviations when needed.
  • Contribute to system engineering tasks, ensuring alignment with requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in space missions, ground segments, or related systems.

🎯 Requirements

  • Experience with systems or solutions based on SW COTS, preferably in the space domain.
  • Experience working with common COTS solutions such as Linux enterprise distributions, Oracle/PostgreSQL databases, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware), or vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Awareness of COTS market trends and vulnerability databases.
  • Strong understanding of cyber‑security compliance, including critical analysis and deviation management.
  • Hands‑on experience with Linux system administration.
  • Database administration skills (Oracle / PostgreSQL).
  • Professional fluency in English.

⭐ Optional / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience using Nessus or other vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Networking skills (switch and firewall configuration).
  • Experience in systems engineering, including requirements management good practices.
  • Previous experience in space projects, ground segment systems, or related equipment.
